just watched Blue Velvet for the first time, that film is effed up! well done and very tense, but effed up nonetheless!

I started watching Twin Peaks a few years ago but only got 3 or so episodes in, the acting for the most part seemed ropey at best and put me off - does it get better or is it just that the storyline is so good that the acting is less of an issue?

the acting isnt bad, the characters are supposed to be strange, to give you a slightly uneasy, untrusting feel. just let it wash over you and enjoy the weirdness. Its f**king sublime.

The first series of Twin Peaks is the finest bit of TV ever made. No question about it.

The second series went off the rails a bit and I never got round to finishing it.

Never really seen it/was too young to appreciate it. Must check it out. Been getting back into horrors recently.

I'm about half way through second series on dvd. I love it and always go back to watching it on a night in without the bloke whinging on about how shite it is.

if you mean the tongue-in-cheek hammy aspect, then it doesn't get better, as I think it was intentional

is this going to be just the first series or is it the whole thing?

and yes, quite possibly the best thing that's ever been on tele
