Foo Fighters to Headline

As it says in the title.

Foo Fighters will be headlining a night of Leeds and Reading 2011.

Confirmed by Less than Jake last night at Leeds academy. They themselves will be playing if invited, if not they will be attempting to play.

It's not like it is a totally random rumour for them to start.

Given their touring schedule, a new album out, and the rumours already it's pretty much nailed on.

Slightly dubious due to the MK shows, but it's not exactly a crazy out of nowhere idea or rumour. Could very well be true.

hang on, Edward from Jedward just dropped a letter through my door saying they're headlining Reading, but......only the Oracle carpark. Shame thought we had it all wrapped up in one morning.

There may be someone at the gig that managed to film it.

They basically said they would be playing and they had been offered to play main stage under the foo fighters.

Definitely Leeds Fest, said it's there favourite festival and wanted to come back last year but got bumped for Limp Bizkit. (Think I got mixed up with that fact on my first post).

No chance, for the same reason Green Day didn't play this year. Reading only book exclusives (at the time of tickets going on sale) There are already 140,000 people going to see the Foos next summer, it's not good business for Reading/Leeds to book them when this is the case.

Just look at the festival history and notice how each headliner is at least an English exclusive. It's not Rocket Science.

Very True Indeed! However Milton Keyens is a long way away from Leeds is my only logic.

It's certainly possible that they could headline, but a number of things are suggesting to me that maybe they're not.

Separately, someone has mailed me today to tell me that the headliners next year are going to be Pulp, Strokes and Muse .... but similarly there's reasons to think that might well be wrong too.

It's still all a little early to get a proper handle on things.

I was there last night, and they said this jokingly, they said the headliners were Foo Fighters, and Limp Bizkit and themselves, they did however pretty much confirm that they would be playing (Less Than Jake), but didn't mention the stages, i would presume Main.
