Anyone ever used Vodaphone VIP Before?

I've just signed up for it for a particular event, as it says I'll be able to get tickets a day earlier, but the website offers no useful information at all.

I mean, what actually is it? Can I buy tickets earlier or is it just some competition draw type thing? I went to the relevant page for the event I want to go to and all it told me was the date of the event and that tickets would be available 9 am on the morning before general release.

Can anyone who has used it before or just know how it works explain it to me?

Can get Isle of Wight tickets with it as well, or at least according to the text i recieved the other day from Vodaphone.
