she's a 'legend' but when was the last time they gave her a story worth talking about?

how did mavis, derek, alf, mike etc all go? some of them died. would be fitting that she dies from the same weapon as her husband!

ashley is. pretty much confirmed it with the voiceover guy saying they were having an interview with steven arnold who 'played' ashley peacock.

he's not surviving whatever the hell crushed him.

Vera had barely a storyline before she went either - I think it's about longevity of the character, not how big their plots have been. Bar knowing about Molly and Kevin, Jack had hardly been in it for months before he went!

oh aye, i mind eileens dads one. that was awful though!

jack was landlord of the rovers for a bit was he not? and he had big stories with terry and when tyrone first came in. definitely a bigger character than rita for me. plus he had vera to play along with as well. suppose rita had mavis and now norris but it's not really the same.

Rita had her own big stories in the past - I really don't think they'll kill her off with everyone else this week. Jack didn't even live on Coronation Street til he announced he was dying!

If they do it in much the same way as Deadenders has done their live shows, then they'll be keeping everything pretty simple - so I reckon most of the live show will be set in both the cafe and the rovers, with people sat around talking about what's gone on, plus some bed-side hospital shots.

They might have some shots of the rescue still going on outside, but they'll be pre-recorded bits cos they won't still have all the fire engines as well as the fires and rubble all still around weeks after they've filmed the episodes that follow tonights.
