eFestivals
there's very few that allow them, most have conditions in their licence that specifically exclude dogs on the basis of them being a health hazard.

llcoolphil
I was once walking into the arena at Wickerman - I was looking down cos it was a bit muddy and commented 'who the f**k brings a dog to a festival?'. The policemen holding it as it turns out.

timespeedsup
I though that Alchemy's wide selection of dogs rather depended on the owner as to whether it worked or not. Don't remember any turds to walk in, and saw lots of lovely muts that brought a smile to my face, but there was the occasional one that looked narked off and had an owner to match, and I just hoped that the dog wouldn't escape and take it out on the nearest vulnerable animal/human. i saw a cat at glastonbury and it was really creepy. treacle
There was a dog in the campsite at Eden this year but the owner was asked to take it home, due to health & safety, despite it being well behaved. Couldn't understand why the were so worried about dog poo when they had a horse and cart and a couple ponies trotting up and down the main arena all day! I wonder what owners wanting to take dogs to festies plan on doing with the dogs when they are in tents or in front of the main stages. The volume they are being exposed to can't be good for them and their ultrasensitive ears.
LusciousLucy
T in the Park should allow them...the health hazard from the amounts of bags of human shit all over the campsite...dogs and their owners are far better behaved!!! mikeb
Cambridge Rock Festival - it used to be held in the grounds of Wood Green animal rescue stylee centre near Huntingdon (AKA a dogs/cats/horses/just_about_everything_else stylee home !) so never any real surprise that not only were they were always very welcome on site but even had water and walkies 'facilities' provided for them needless to say But it's still not a problem at the current Haggis Farm site in Cambridge either. Always see several peeps with their mutts every year but never any problems or nasty surprises lurking under foot and so on. Not sure why peeps want to bring their dogs along other than to avoid the problem of finding someone/somewhere to look after them but I don't have any probs at all with responsible owners bringing them along. Kept on a lead, always a sensible distance from speaker stacks and generally well looked after etc. it's just fine and not in any way a H&S issue or whatever.
