Just curious to know what other people do when they arrange a date with someone, would you keep texting the person up until the date like when you were flirting with them before arranging it or would you keep quiet to prevent jinxing it?

I'd maybe cool it a bit. There's nothing worse than coming across as overly enthusiatic but I would definately keep the flirtation going.

Nah, she getting her hair done and then off to see a Uni mate tonight. She has gone to gigs before and I've had minutely updates about things like "I'm in line for the bar now", "They've finished and I'm waiting for the encore now" & "I've lost my friend in the pit and looking for her now" (I need a yawn emoticon!) but I'm more curious as to the games people play, it always a good learning experience to for the next one.

I don't know what I'd do, tricky to keep ion texting like normal as you've secured a date..job done, don''t wanna seem too keen as rex says

but don't want her to think you aren't interested anymore, I've known girls who if you don't text them everyday decide you aren't interested :|

i'd try and get a date sorted as near to the date you ask if possible, not like weeks in advance

Met up with this girl last night who I slept with weeks ago, who has been saying she just wants to be friends. I am sure she is playing games with me because she keeps inviting me out on her dates with other guys. Caught a glimpse of a text she got from the guy she was with saying last night saying how pissed off he was about it. I gave her absolutely nothing, I didn't flirt with her because I am so f**king bored of women like this but she spent the whole night flirting with other guys but always looking at me and what I was doing and eventually coming back to me and by the end of the night she was coming on to me again and I just said "I am going home". I could see the disappointment on her face it was f**king brilliant to turn the tables for once because I am sure that's worked every time for her in the past with all the other brain dead morons she's tried it with. Jog the f**k on.

I think that's the sound of my self-respect coming back to life.

Got chatting to a beautiful Glaswegian girl behind the bar at another place though. Think I will be going back there

Does she tell you she's on a date before you all meet up? Does she tell the guy you'll be there? Has she given any explanation as to why you're there? Even if she genuinely does think of you as a friend, why does she want you with her while she's on a date? Is it the first date? Does she want you to meet these guys so you can suss them out for her, or what?

Couldn't decide if she's playing games like 'dont look too keen' and so doesn't text back for a bit then goes to sleep really early and so texts me the next day? I don't know - she's really friendly with me at work and in texts but then like taking 24 hours to reply..

I had planned on asking her this week if she fancies going for a drink next week (she does nights and week on week off) , figure I'd have to ask in person if I text her I might not get a reply till the day has already passed

Madness isn't it? I had no idea she was inviting me to her date, I thought she was just out. She told me the reason why she didn't want to be my girlfriend was because she's not interested in a relationship. Yeah, so invite me to your dates then. That's normal. She's pissing off her own friends a bit too. I couldn't give an actual f**k any more, I just think it makes for an entertaining story because I enjoy people's reactions when I tell them about it.

My best friend is currently going through some sort of madness with his ex too - they split up 4 months ago but they keep pinging emails back and forth, each one getting more and more insane (on her part). We just find it a massive joke now.

Come up with a plan. Suggest a good, definite place rather than a vague thing like 'going for a drink somewhere'. Just think you've got nothing to lose. All those cocky bastards with their stunning girlfriends probably got knocked back more than once before they landed that stunner. Take the same approach but let the rejection wash over you if it comes, it's so easy to get knocked for six by a defeat but just look at it like a game - the more you do it the better you will get. Just see it as experience.

You need to stop over analysing everything. Sometimes people just forget to txt back, it happens. Good luck with the date.
