lharris92
according to the Reading website the band TBA on Saturday are a band called 'Teenage Bottlerocket', though they don't seem to be on the lineup poster link here
rivalschools.price
maybe the special guests are that acoustic revival tour thingy with chuck from hot water music, brian from gaslight and that guy from alkaline trio.theyre touring uk in sept.(frank turner has played with them before as well)
rivalschools.price
hmmm.....the special guests clash with death from above 1979. hope we get rumours before then, imagine missing DFA1979 only to find the special guests are shite and have to rush over to the NME to catch the rest of the DFA set. Chavmeisterdeluxe
As it's a solo set I can only really see it being Frank Turner or Brian Fallon to command that high a spot.
rivalschools.price
Don't know a fair few of those bands (aside from Capdown, Descendents, Flogging Molly, Street Dogs, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Hot Water Music). Who are the best of the rest? Not interested in any hardcore/ott pop-punk/emo if there's any there.
rivalschools.price
are capdown clashing with glassjaw?? i'd imagine glassjaw will get a huge crowd and will pull a few away from the lock up. Musesetlist
I'm glad I just saw Capdown at Underworld because I don't wanna miss Glassjaw. Although Capdown at Reading should be mental.

Fest
Where's the info that it's special guest rather than guests? Anyway, if it's guest, I'm halfway to convincing myself it's Andrew WK. He's toured with Flogging Molly before and is surely bigger than Face To Face, especially if last year's Warped Tour is anything to go by. Anyone else? Just me? Yellow_Fellow
I'm with you on AWK. Also, it's on the poster. Special Guest.
TimmyIOM
http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/general_music_news/fugazi_may_get_together_again.html That would be a nice special guest.
rivalschools.price
That would be so good, but on the show on monday night mike davies said it hadn't been possible to do that this year, maybe another year! I'm thinking of buying a ticket to that in september, looks awesome.
rivalschools.price
You'll probably be able to see half of the other band's set. Glassjaw will have the bigger crowd but it'll be business as usual for the Lock Up as not all Capdown fans are Glassjaw fans and the chances to see Capdown are more limited than Glassjaw's. Banana Co
are jimmy eat world playing the same time as well??? that would be a three way clash for a lot of people- glassjaw, capdown,JEW. i'm just using the very unscientific method of seeing that they are all 4th for the top of their respective stages rather than looking to see what times they are likely to play. on the subject of set times, does anyone know the likely times that glassjaw and hot water music will take the stage in reading??? Jackosity guy
whats the story with that acoustic revival tour?? do they each play an acoustic set individually or are thay an acoustic band?? and are they likely to play HWM,gaslight and alkaline tracks?? mrtourette
Probably the Saturday at Reading as there's a gap there. I doubt they'd be the 'Special Guest' on the Sunday.
therefused
letlive will be sandwiched in between Street Dogs and Teenage Bottlerocket on Saturday August 27th. Soooooo excited! - facebook i thought that spot would be mariachi el bronx, but whatever.
rivalschools.price
does anybody else find hot water music playing below face to face a bit strange? i would have thought that hot water music are way more popular in the uk than face to face.in fact,id go as far as to say that a lot of people going to the lock up wouldnt have even heard of face to face.make no odds to me what order they play in, both awesome bands. iamcoolyeah
so happy to see letlive announced, but gutted that they'll probably clash with odd future... a really annoying day considering glassjaw may clash with the national too. whats even worse is there aren't really any other bands i REALLY want to watch that day apart from those four! farmer_andy
This is what I have been wondering since it was announced to play in my town. As a huge, huge fan of Gaslight Anthem, and a fan of Alkaline Trio and Chuck Ragan, I am wondering if they will be playing their own songs. I also have a feeling they will be playing together, looking at pictures of the last couple of revival tours. It's a folk appreciation thing, theirs a guy playing the fiddle aswell, they might do covers of classics or may play eachovers songs.
