OKB
transplants may have their new album out next year, so they are a possabilty.

OKB
They've been recording new material, or didn't your source tell you.
jump
That is not what I was getting at. If Rancid are too big for Lock-up then I suspect the "supergroup" Transplants would be mainstage or nothing. OKB
They've been booked before for Lock Up but they had to pull out at the last moment.
jump
And I've conveniently found a poster showing them booked for Lock Up which conveniently shows you're full of shit. Edited November 29, 2010 by jump
Keva
That was 2005 if I remember. They pulled out and then went on "hiatus" that year. Edited November 29, 2010 by Keva

jump
2005... This band has gone huge since then. Espeshially Travis Barker will demand at least 500k for him himself. Edited November 29, 2010 by jump
OKB
Oh, yes back in 2005 at their peak they can play the Lock Up but now 5 years on when some people have lost intrest and haven't released any new material they are gonna start demanding the same fee as the Libertines or more if Tim & Rob want to get paid. So your bullshit source is now saying they playing this year, just like Iron Maiden.
jump
I haven't said they will/might play I think you have misunderstood me.
OKB
Here you say they are playing, sorry not not playing. No you are misunderstanding, I said they won't play? Yes, they are demanding the same amount of money as the libertines according to you or is that your source? I never mentioned anything to do with the libertines? Regardless of if Transplants are the best punk or not, their best selling album has sold less than Alkaline Trio's, NoFX's, New Found Glory's etc best selling albums and haven't had a HUGE increase in fans since they were booked last time. Album sales don't reflect how popular a band is. Some bands have a huge following of hardcore fans and don't need massive increases, take Guns N Roses for example. It's the exact same size tent and is as popular now as it has always been. Yes it's the same size but it attracts more people now.

OKB
Of course, you're now back tracking like you did with your imaginary source who you claim is high up for mag but is only a temp. No really, you are misunderstanding, the guy suggested transplant, I said they would not play. You're saying they are demanding £500k (I take it your source knows this ), this was the same amount paid to the Libertines (keep up it was 2 posts ago) so I am demostarting how stupid the bullshit you say is, or do you really think Transplants are expecting to be paid £500k the fee that would be paid to a band the size of The Libertines? The Libertines sum was around 1-2million. http://www.nme.com/news/the-libertines/42671 thats a lot more than 500k... So a band that sells less albums than another is more popular? New Found Glory, Alakline Trio blah, blah, blah, both come from the same time frame, same scene blah, blah, blah as Transplants so they can be compared. Yes let's compare pop music with punk music okay. *facepalm* Oh yes, I forgot the tent now holds more people despite being the same size through the use of magic. But this is going against your point, Transplants if anything have gotten smaller since the last they have played so why wouldn't they want to play the same stage they've been booked for before that is now more popular? Transplants have not gotten less popular, they are an iconic band and if they played again the fans would come out in droves. If they played lock up there would be crushes. jump
For f**k sake learn how to use a message board. So Transplants are demanding £500k then? Yes, Alakline Trio are a pop band. Transplants are iconic , I'm a fan of Tranplants but what world are you living on?
OKB
For f**k sake learn how to use a message board. I think you will find I'm using it fine. So Transplants are demanding £500k then? That is the going price of that band yes. Yes, Alakline Trio are a pop band. Pop-Rock yes. Transplants are iconic , I'm a fan of Tranplants but what world are you living on? I'm living on planet earth. And why wouldn't the biggest punk band of the modern era be iconic? They are the Iron Maiden of Punk.
jump
If you're using the message board "fine" then why is everything you write ending up in my quotes retard?

OKB
Don't be silly, according to him Transplants are as big as Iron Maiden.
Leyser
Lol twisting my words once again. What I meant was that Transplants are like the Iron Maiden of Punk. Not necessairly as big, but as well known within their respective scene.
jump
Lol twisting my words once again. No, you are so full of shit you don't even know what you mean yourself. What I meant was that Transplants are like the Iron Maiden of Punk. What the f**k does that even mean retard, ring you imaginary friend who temps at a mag and ask him to explain. Not necessairly as big, but as well known within their respective scene. So you think more people know Transplants than Blink.
OKB
But you did refer to Transplants as more iconic than Blink or Rancid (Completely separate from fan base size)
