jump
thats not what I meant. I meant the size of Transplants are bigger than the size of Blink in their own respective genres.

OKB
What the f**k are you on about Blink are a punk band, Transplants are a punk band.
OKB
Ok? Anyway either way I would like to see the Transplants somewhere at Reading next, I think the will be playing at the whogivesaf**k,waittillmarch stage
jump
No... Blink are a pop-punk band, a sort of feel good music with a punk attitude. Transplants are a punk to the core band. lrn2genre
OKB
Oh, so one is a punk band and the other is a punk band too, why didn't you explain it like that before. 2 completely different genres of music. And what's Rancid?
jump
If they were to play it would be mainstage, which is the only thing I am getting at.
jump
Ok, using that logic. Pop-Rock - Avril Lavigne. Pop - JLS SAME MUSIC RITE???
OKB
Despite being booked on the Lock Up, so therefore must be mainstage now as they are like Iron Maiden?
jump
Last time blink played before last years 2003. Next time 2010. Didn't do much in between. ie in terms of get bigger. Went from a sub spot to a massive headlining spot. People are wanting Transplants, it doesn't matter where they played last and what htey have done since then, the hype is on and that would mean they would only play Main stages as TOO many people would want to see them
luckysalt
OKB Have you even listened to transplants, Transplants and Blink are pretty similar, and your whole arguement is flawed to hell. Anyway... I went to Reading 2005 when they were booked, didn't they pull out really close to the festival, they were booked to play Main Stage at Reading but Lock up at Leeds, think it was cus they were flying in and out the country real quick but think they pulled out so they could do the MTV awards, think Yellowcard did the same year too. OKB
They were due to headline Downlaod before splitting and music channels were playing their vids every day, unlike the "Iron Maiden of Punk"
Yellow_Fellow
Blink 182 had massive hype.

OKB
Nah, they pulled out as Tim was ill then they went on hiatus. I said this to OKB but he claimed they pulled out as they demanded a Mainstage slot.
jump
I meant there was no real increase in popularity. Also I see Transplants videos getting played quite a lot, maybe because I don't watch NME...
Matticus
transplants are essentially just a pop punk band with a more girtty image and attitude. they have pop sensibilities in the songs as well as 3 chord DIY song structure. That OKB is ridiculous, clearly knows nothing about anything. Here's a shovel mate, your gunna need it as your digging a hole.

j-j-j-j-joe!
I think OKB is conclusive proof for the existence of god. Somebody that stupid and irritating can only be on this world as a test of our patience.

luckysalt
Imo Transplants are more punk than pop punk that Blink 182. Taking Back Sunday would only play mainstage. Don't know that fellow but it seems a bit harsh.
