Edit feature + Post Preview

I had a quick look to see if these have been suggested previously but to no avail, so sorry if I've missed them.

First suggestion is to change the edit feature slightly, allowing for 15 seconds or so to edit a post without it saying "this post was last edited by blah blah...". This is mainly for fools like me who make regular typo's and change them straight away after hitting Submit. This obviously isn't a major concern for me, but I think a post always looks a little scrappy if it shows the edit message.

But the main suggestion really, and something which drastically improves a forum in my opinion, is the Preview Option for threads. So instead of having to click on every thread to see it's content, you hover the mouse over the thread title and it'll show you the first few lines on the post without clicking it. I only use the Glasto section of this forum, and on that board there are so many pointless threads I wish I hadn't have clicked on, which would be avoided if a preview was there.

I don't use this forum that much, but would use it a lot more if that above feature was enabled (if possible).

thanks for the suggestions.

However, to add them would require major changes to the forums software, as well as management of those changes with each new release of the forums software - both things that would take far more time for me to do than could ever be justified.

I'd guess that if other forums software is including them nowadays as standard then it won't be too long before this forums softw3are implements something similar.

The forums have a post preview, you just click the little green arrow to the far right of the thread topic
