I actually recieved a PM from a user called Efestivals (i assume it's the admin or someone) who wanted to discuss sources. Well it turned out the source of my source about strokes is the same source the source Efestivals has.

Gazza - this is an official thread for people to post rumours. Now, I don't know what exactly constitutes an 'official rumour' but I'd imagine it starts off with something along the lines of, "I heard that..." - in which case, I heard that all of the bands that we've talked about in the last 3 months are being considered for headliners. There's nothing official about them, they're just bands we have all speculated on.

What OKB is posting is confirmation. It's not a rumour; it's a confirmation. Now, if you can confirm something to be true then what you need to do is supply the source so that A. eFestivals can verify it and put it up on their page, and most importantly B. so that WE can verify it. If you post your confirmation in public and you expect people to take you seriously, you can post your source of this information so that we can verify it to take you seriously.

If you worked for a newspaper and you printed a story that you couldn't back up - when X amount of people are reading it - you would be f**ked.

When asked what his source was, he said that the guy that told him works high up in an unidentified magazine. He then later went on to imply that his source doesn't actually work for a magazine at all. He has contradicted himself and when confronted with this glaring contradiction, he made an utter arse of himself. He hasn't backed up anything he has said - it's not because he won't; it's because he can't.

The man is talking bollocks, he's continually irritating the hell out of the vast majority of members who use this forum and to me - what he says may not constitute as an official rumour but his behaviour certainly constitutes as 'trolling'.

This thread is quickly becoming another 'look at me! look at me!' OKB thread. Please, before we get to the stage of the previous thread, let's just ignore the c**t and take into consideration the purpose of this one - to discuss the rumours.

Now, unlike OKB, I'll be honest and say that I do actually know people within the music industry (producers mainly) - they don't generally know the innermost workings of the mainstream because the mainstream works very hard to ensure that its secrets are kept very well hidden under wraps. I have heard no rumours but I can confirm that nobody has been confirmed yet this early in the game. I know there isn't because common sense dictates that - if there were any confirmations, we'd know about it because nobody in the music industry can keep their mouths shut or their Twitter accounts inactive for more than 2 minutes without letting something slip.

The only strong rumour is The Strokes and that is all. Otherwise, everything else is speculation.

In the guest area, the Photographers desk is the one closest to the main stage. To the right of it, is the Radio One tent, to the right of that is bands and VIPs. Across from there, is a bar (which sells the cheapest drinks on site) and a disco. The exit to main road from guest area is about 1 minute long.

Dave - you seem to be on a mission to show OKB is a troll. Most users on this site must have got the message by now, even if it wasn't obvious to begin with. Personally, I don't believe he knows anything at all. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what I believe. I'm basically on your side. But FFS let it go. By engaging and carrying on, you're effectively being a worse troll than him or her, because every thread ends up about you proving why he or she doesn't know what they're talking about.

Just let it go. Let OXB post his/her rumours. If they're right, they're right. If not, not. You don't need to keep saying they're not.
