The band pulled out, cancelled a few other festivals too. shame that

Dave, you can still see all the bands you want to see if they add more acts you know.. I still personally think the lineup looks a bit thin

I'd rather be spoilt for choice and miss a few bands than have nothing much on during the day

I Have just stuck on 20 2inch mirrors on my Noddy Holder top hat and have realised two things:

1. If it's sunny during the day I am going to potentially piss off and/or possibly cause temporary blindness to several hundred surrounding people!

2. In the evening if I venture close to any lightshows or lasers I may become a human disco/glitterball!

Well, if you venture over to the official message board you'll get a good idea of just how many bands people want to see - most have way over 10 bands. I personally have over 60 bands and DJs now and the more I check back at the A-Z, that number grows. Fact is, we just have far too many bands to play with -- and I said it over on the Sunday Best forum that it feels like I'm in a sweet shop and there's so many tasty sweets but I simply cannot have them all. More bands (especially if they're great bands) is a problem to a line-up full of 60 or more great bands/DJs already, and if you don't feel spoiled for choice as it stands then... Jesus man, what do you want?

Incidentally, I don't think it will be any more bands. It'll probably be as another user suggested and be the comedy line-up and alternatives to music; which I've been looking forward to seeing for ages. That said, my main point was - in terms of priority, I think I'd rather have the day splits and map to angst over for the next 2 or 3 weeks than concern myself with the comedy.

Is it usually a struggle to get pitched up like at Glasto or is it a bit more sparsely populated?

Absolutely made up about Groove Armada being an alternative to Pendulum. That's going to be great, Patrick Wolf, Graham Coxon and Mogwai in a row, brilliance.

Anyone going to the pre-bestival piss up? Not sure how to get there from Ryde because it seems quite a way away.
