Probably work at this one again next year, hopefully they sort out the shambles of having the 2nd stage across the Tyne

Not bad for £35 I suppose but as I mentioned the whole 2 stage set up over the Tyne is a nightmare

Anyone who doesn’t want to get in the crush at the front but still wants to be able to hear the music should avoid this festival.

Having been to everyone of these so far and giving them fair chance to improve the sound on the spillers wharf stage I finally lost patience last year and emailed a complaint to the organisers.

Fair play to them I got a response but that was basically to say due to the urban nature of the festival they could not and would not increase the volume levels on any of the stages.

In my opinion this makes this festivals music aspect not fit for purpose as we could here virtually non of the music and ended up leaving early (two songs into Paolo Nutini) on day one last year and not bothering to return on day two.

Yes the festival offers real value for money on paper but due to the lack of any sound this perceived value is completely irrelevant in my opinion.
