This is good news, I can only afford to do one out of Download or Sonisphere so at least I will have a good idea come next week who will have the better line up. Around this time last year Sonisphere announced quite a few bands so hopefully they will do the same this year.

I'm hoping for Friday Ozzy, Saturday Tool and then Sunday maybe Metallica/the big four.

I guess the announcement next Monday will also have an impact on T in the Park and if Blink 182 will be playing.

I had no idea TITP was announcing first acts tomorrow either. EDIT - just looked at the TITP website, they say it headliners, really impressed with the website design though, they've gone to some trouble

So Monday both Download and Sonisphere announcing acts. Guessing that Download will announce the 2nd of 3 headliners and maybe a few more, they'll want to beef up their bill against Soni.

I remember Soni last year had a huge first announcement and the fest looked like it was gunna be the bollocks but then all the other announcements didn't get my boat floating. I wonder if they'll spunk all the big acts in the first announcement again this time around?

Change of plans...part of the announcement is coming tomorrow(Friday) at 11am...still an announcment planned for MOnday afaik though

And the first headliner will be...

… revealed right here around 11am Friday 3rd December. The announcement we’d promised you on Monday (6th) will follow, as planned. Sorry for keeping you in suspense. We reckon it’ll all be worth it.
