eFestivals is expected to be very busy this morning, because of tickets going on sale shortly for a number of major festivals.

To help things run smoothly while things are busy, a number of features will be turned off on the forums.

well, after all that it looks like few people are buying tickets today - which was always fairly likely, as people's money is more committed to xmas at this time of year than next summer's fun.

The servers are copying well, so it doesn't look as tho anything will need to be switched off.

yup, and considering the number of very big festivals as well as some big tours going on sale today, there were few people out buying the tickets either. I reckon a combination of the recession plus xmas in a few weeks means people chose to wait for some or more names to be announced before getting their festie tickets.

I've got a few things that don't seem to be working. View New Content keeps coming up empty, even after I've left the site for a day. So I thought I'd click on Delete My Cookies, to see if it was something to do with that, and I got an error message saying the link was broken.

this is a problem caused by the server upgrade that took place late on Friday - I'll get it fixed as soon as I have a moment, either today or tomorrow.

I'm fixing this right now (I hope), but while the search indexes are rebuilt, the search system is offline for a few minutes
