Personally, Sonisphere is winning hands down this year so far. I'm bored of Linkin Park now, and their new album is the worst thing I have ever heard. I find System really boring (yes controversial, I know) and neither are a patch on Slipknot live, who always entertain no matter how many times you see them. Biffy are an exciting band to watch, they might end up doing a lostprophets re Download 2008 but it is worth taking the risk on them. Unless Download adds some steller smaller bands (don't care much for Rob Zombie and saw A7X recently), Sonisphere is the one of me this year. Unless of course Reading pulls it out the bag but that is turning to the indie world again. The Strokes are pretty good though...

I don't think this is the strongest announcement however, I haven't seen Linkin Park before and can say that I have been "interested" to experience them live even with the dire reviews of the new material. I also couldn't get tickets for Rob Zombie so am well pleased that he/they are playing and hope they bring the full stage show!

I did think that Biffy Clyro would get a mention also but looks like that won't be happening now. And lets face it, at least it's not MCR (yet!)

Yeah good point, one band on the up, full of passion about music and the other, dull boring bland and going through the motions?

Well done Sonisphere in taking a risk, it reminds me of when Glastonbury gave KOL the chance to headline, much better than the usual bookings like Linkin Park who aren't going to be any more entertaining than the last time they played Sonisphere or Download.

Apparently A7X are playing Sunday was on a Italian A7X fansite which listed all their European dates.

Hope both A7X and RZ are subbing and not headlining 2nd.

All 4 acts announced Ive never seen before and would really like to catch all four, after Slipknot/Prodigy clash in 2009 wouldn't suprise me if AC booked RZ and SOAD to clash!
