What we know so far:

Thursday 18th August

Panic at the Disco, Paul Kalkbrenner, Trophy Wife

Friday 19th August

Bouncing Souls, Drop the Lime, Gesaffelstein, No Use for a Name, Andy C

Saturday 20th August

Dorian Concept, Carte Blanche, Stromae, Trentmoller, Yuck, Breakage, Hudson Mohawke

Unknown day

Foo Fighters, Chromeo, Mark Ronson, Warpaint, Pearson Sound, Jamie Woon, Airbourne, Suicidal Tendencies, Nero and Fenech Soler.

Please feel free to point out any errors or omissions. The only one I'm not certain about is Fenech Soler as I think that was mentioned on a local radio station but I can't find the source. These 23 names make up about an 1/8 of the line up - only another 175 to go!!!!

Edit: GTFI!!!! Andy C has confirmed on his twitter that he will be playing on Friday :D:D:D:D His set in 2009 was and still is my favourite of any DJ I've seen at Pukkelpop.

I'm sure this was way too late for y'all across the pond, but DFA1979 just concluded their set at Coachella.

I had tracked that they'll be at Reading/Leeds, so hopefully they crash in on Pukkelpop too (them and OFWGKTA).

I'm excited by a lot of those heavily rumoured names, though.

(God dammit, being on a British forum makes me type in British grammar already..)

Apparently, Skunk Anansie self-confirmed at the end of their gig in Antwerp. But I wasn't there myself, so I don't know if they litterally said they're playing at Pukkelpop.

One more week before the big announcement...

Rumours are going that they are actually waiting for Werchter to sell out before announcing the headliners for Pukkelpop. I wouldn't be surprised if that were true.

Very simple research on Google turned out to be interesting:

2009: Werchter day tickets sold out April 5th, first names Pukkelpop on April 6th

2010: Werchter day tickets sold out March 27th, first names Pukkelpop on March 30th

2011: Werchter still not sold out April 18th, still no news from Pukkelpop (despite a 'promise' to announce first names during the 3rd week of March).

Coincidence?

Officially, it's because they want to be "sure" that the acts they're going to announce, are really coming. I don't really believe it... Headliners should be booked much earlier, I guess.

Not long until the announcement now. I've gone from having huge expectations, back to expecting disappointment and now reside somewhere in between. I thought the headline names last yera were great, think they're going to have to go some to beat that. Foo Fighters is a good start though. I am however expecting a "WOW" in the announcement. Jay Z, something like that perhaps.

The Strokes, Coldplay, Pulp, Arctic Monkeys etc seem to be pretty much following each other round the festival circuit, so who knows where we will end up (do/can bands play both Werchter and Pukkelpop?)

I'm still hopeful, Portishead would be great but not breath holding. Chem's are at Glasto so can catch them there if need be. Just want something with the "WOW" factor, last year Maiden did it for me. All time favourite band from childhood! Love Foo Fighters though, and with the like of Suicidal I'm feeling good. Roll on Tuesday!

I had a terrible nightmare yesterday... çpacebo and Snow Patrol playing for the 3rd year in a row... I think that Snow Patrol is the worst headliner in PP history...

Last Saturday, at the end of their performance at Groezrock, BoySetsFire told "off the record" that they will be back in Belgium during the summer... and told us "see u in august!!".... maybe pukkelpop??
