Its almost the end of year, all those bullshit NME journos will be writing their bullshit lists for 2010. I trust efesters opinions infinitely more (well mostly - amps excluded), so whats your three best albums of the year? Good chance to find something I might not have listened to either

I'm going with

Beach House - Teen Dream

Foals - Total Life Forever

Deftones - Diamond Eyes

joanna newsom - have one on me

other ones i've enjoyed are

brandon boyd - the wild trapeze

band of horses - infinite arms

deftones - diamond eyes

divine comedy - bang goes the knighthood

skunk anansie - wonderlustre

stone sour - audio secrecy

take that - progress

vampire weekend - contra

couldn't really add another to make a top ten.

Pretty Hate Machine's Remasterred release was bloody fantastic. More relevant than the vast majority of current dross and given a whole new level of immersion.

This is what I've enjoyed album-wise from this year.

Soulfly - Omen (Rise Of The Fallen is a f**king belter of a tune - crank it up to 11)

Bullet For My Valentine - Fever

Bad Religion - The Dissent Of Men

Volbeat - Beyond Hell/Above Heaven

The Qemists - Spirit In The System

arcade fire - the suburbs (sonically brilliant, most bands could only dream of taking their music where arcade fire takes theirs)

the national - high violet (brilliant, beautiful and haunting)
