WORLDWIDE FESTIVAL SETE '11

The WF is back in the idyllic small fishing town of Sète (South of France) from the 6th to the 10th of July 2011. Behind the scenes Gilles Peterson and the WF gang are cooking up an amazing line-up for this 6th edition of the WF in Sete which promises to be the best yet. Artist already confirmed are: Cut Chemist, Kode9 Vs Spaceape (live), David Rodigan, Ghostpoet (live), Pearson Sound aka Ramadanman, Rainer Truby... and many more to come. 5 days in 4 different stunning outdoor venues, a fantastic clubbing and live area specially designed for the festival situated in the heart of Sete’s harbour, a mammoth 16 hour beach party on Sète's longest sandy beach on the last day of the Festival, the magnificent “Theatre De La Mer” for some unforgettable live performances without forgetting our now annual Street Party outside the CRAC (Regional Centre of Contemporary Art).

Has anyone been to this festival before and can give me a bit of info?

Some of the tickets don't include entry to the Theatre del Mer. Can you buy these separately when you get there?

Is it possible to get day tickets on the gate, rather than having to get passes in advance?

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Nibbsy,

As the theatre de la Mer is the smallest venue we use, it is only part of the Gold pass. You can get day tickets for the St Christ/Phare du Mole at the gate. Note that the access to the beach afternoon stage is free on Thursday/Friday/Saturday. The 18h beach party on Sunday is part of the gold, silver and week-end pass. In case you don't have any of those passes you will need to get a ticket for the beach party as well.
