disable campervan field

Hi all

So this year i may well be in the disable CV field for the first time, as my lady friend is a blue badge holder and is not really able to climb the hill back to the cv fields esp after a hard day trogging around the stages etc so it has been decided to apply for disable CV access.

Point a is does anyone know where on site the area is? (spring ground is where disable camping is so guessing there?)

point b is however the main concern as according the organisers of the area we will not be able to have the 3 kids in a tent adjacent to the van, as would be possible in the standard CV field, so does anyone know how rigorously this is enforced? see below

There is however a strict rule, set by the council, that tents and campervans/ caravans cannot be set up next to each other. There is unfortunately no exception to this as it is one of our licence conditions. However, within the disabled campsite when there is this situation we ask for you to let us know so that we can park your campervan in the final row of campervans closest to where the camping area then starts. This would mean your children would be maybe 10m from your van.

My friend went last year, and camped into the disabled field. They got alot of help from the advisor at glasto, there is a person who advises disabled visitors who is from the glasto office. Might be worth emailing them? If u have no joy, I will get the name and contact details from my friend.

See you all in June!

cheers for the reply

we are in contact with them and the main bone of contention is the fact that they want our kids to sleep so far away from us and i can fathom why? when a tent can behind the van in the standard CV fields but not in the Disable ones? All applications for this field are done on individual needs and merits and i think the kids being close at hand at night is a need!
