As a girl I would definitely take skirts/dresses instead of trousers. Layer with tights and leggings if cold, these will dry out quickly and can be washed at the taps and dried in the morning sun. You also cant risk them dragging in the rather questionable mud on the floors of the toilets.

A shee-wee was a life saver last year. Comes in a case so you just pop it away and forget about it. The toilets aren't that bad anyway, but it saves time with seat wiping etc.

It's always much much colder at night and it can come as a bit of a shock to the system. Make sure you're prepared with lots of thin layers. These are easy to stash away and you can always be the perfect temperature.

Always sleep with your valuables in the sleeping bag with you. There are lots of horror stories about things being stolen while people are asleep in their tents. I've never had anything like that happen, although I've come back to an unzipped tent door. Didn't leave anything worth stealing behind so nothing was missing, they didn't even touch the booze.

I've never spent more than about £60 wed - mon and that's buying one good meal a day and bringing plenty of snacks. Crisps, tinned fish, tea bags, crackers, cereal bars and some nuts are all good to have.
