Nile Rodgers

Nile Rodgers, the guitarist from Chic, and one of the greatest pop producers, has written about his experience with cancer, he has had an aggressive tumour removed and is hopefully on the road to recovery. This man not only wrote and produced some of the biggest disco anthems (Good Times, Le Freak, We Are Family, Greatest Dancer) but also wrote for and produced Madonna, Duran Duran, David Bowie, Diana Ross and Grace Jones.

I had the good fortune to meet him at Bestival last summer, and he is a genuine friendly man, the only artist I saw taking time to truly meet his fans. As a fellow cancer survivor, I wish him a full and speedy recovery.
