Festival in Cheshire called Friends Of Mine. I think it sounds pretty good! It's the weekend after Bearded Theory so it's gonna be a mad fortnight for us!!!

I had never heard of this festival until a friend posted on facebook to get his band voted on and on looking it up its £130 with a camper ticket for a first time festival with a not very impressive lineup so its a no from me as I have my doubts as to it going ahead.

Maybe I poo money, but contrary to what some have suggested on here I don't think it is expensive.

I hope it's a success, we could do with more festivals in the North.

I am a little worried now that after bearded theory this is just going to seem like a chav fest in comparison! The festival may have better bands to bearded (in my opinion) but atmosphere I really really doubt.

Oh well. Perhaps I will actually see some bands for once then!

Anyone else from here going yet? Tickets are still available last time I checked.

Disappointed with the iPhone app - half the acts are missing and the ones that are there are in a jumbled up order making it hard to see who is on when. A piece of paper with the bands and times on would be better.

Even the official website doesn't actually seem to inform you of the running order. Suzuki Method, for example, any idea what time they are on and where?

5pm on the Bowl Stage, according to the iPhone app. Actually, the app is OK if you are searching for a specific band in the A-Z(and the information is actually there), but I like to see the stages with running orders and all that anally retentive stuff.

I am going with 3 others and a 1year old. Have been assured it will be family friendly. Bit nervous with it being a new festival and no reputation regarding this but am in camper van and figure so close to home can head back if realise not suitable.

I usually go abroad for festivals now - Beni for 2years and then 3 years at Sziget so hoping weather perks up!

Also really hoping it will be a good one with not too many idiots!!

The line up is in pdf on the official site. Easiest way to find it is thru the comments on their facebook page. I am on train down right now and weather looking pretty grim so far halfway betwixt carlisle and manchester. I dont have shuttle bus booked from chelford/maccs hope they dont get arsey about that! TAXIII!

Well that was the worst festival ever.

I had to come on and join, condemned stages, bad weather and poor organisation. I won't be back.

Yer arse. It was a sound wee gig. They cant do nothin about the wind, totally understandable to see the 2 stages pulled. For their 1st year they are obviously goin to have some mistakes made but it's good to see a fest evolve from the beginning, next year they will no doubt sort the distance between stages hopefully they will get better swally than Fosters and no doubt they will make the security stricter when they realise they hardly took any money at the bars as everyone just took their own in. Shuttle bus this mornin was a joke tho, given that they never told you where it picked up and if you went to the wrong exit you had a good 45 minute walk along country road to get to the pick up point with all yer gear. I thought all the unknown bands i saw were f**kin ace, the mancs kick ass when it comes to makin music. That lassie playin violin in the lake bar last night was f**kin breathtakin, does anyone know who they were?

Sorry I was just not impressed for £90. No atmosphere but each to their own and that's fine! There were some great bands which is what it's about I guess!

It was miles under capacity right enough, there's no way it made profit this yr. Wonder what official capacity actually hit, be well surprised if it was over 5k.
