How are you getting to Benicassim?

I know there is already a thread about the festival but I need help specifically on travelling to the festival.

I'm flying from london (hopefully Gatwick) to the festival and I'm not sure whether it's worth the effort to flying to an airport further away and getting a coach or train to the fest or just spening alot more on a flight to Valencia. Also how much have people already spent on flights, transfers etc.? I've not really got an idea what would be a good/reasonable price.

Any help/info would be greatly appreciated.

is it much more expensive to fly to/from Valencia? I got a return ticket from Valencia to Stansted for something like 50 euros with Ryan Air. last year I paid around £120 (Gatwick - Valencia - Gatwick - Easyjet), checking in 1 suitcase.

in 2009 we went from edinburgh to rome to valencia, think flight were about £150 checking 1 bag between 2, this year we are driving 3000 miles in 3 weeks!!!

I'll have a look at Ryanair now but I haven't seen a price that good so far! I don't have to but it's only 15/20 minute drive from where I live so it would be handy.

Not flying from London, but we're going with Ryanair (Manchester to Alicante) and coming back with Monarch (Alicante to Manchester) for £160. I think it's about 3-4 hours on the train from Alicante, or so I've read. You can book train tickets at Rail Europe about 3 months in advance, so we're just doing that. Flights were a lot cheaper when we went in 2009 though.

Flying from Liverpool to Rues, worked out about 170 pounds. Then booked transfers from Rues to benicassim for 40pound. Overall not exactly cheap but its alright.

Just had a look and the flights are ranging between £160-200+, how long ago did you book your flight?
