At least I managed to see them a couple of times.

They were a kind of love them or hate them band but I absolutely loved their live sound. The sounds that Jack made with the guitar pushed all the right buttons for me.

I used to quite llike The White Stripes, but as the years rolled on I started to have a deep inner hatred of Jack White (also Jack Black but that's another story) I haven't enjoyed any other musical output since The White Stripes and any love I had for The White Stripes has slowly faded so I can't say this news has much affect on me, apart from it now give Jack White to focus on his shittier groups.

Their headline set at Leeds 2004 is probably in the top 10 performances Ive ever seen. Absolutely unreal how two people could make that much noise and put on a show as brilliant as it was, just glad I got the chance to see them at their peak.

i know, it's a worry. think it's worth the risk though. angels and airwaves are turd in the whole and +44 seemed to just be a box car racer kind of project.

at least jack white has got worthwhile stuff going on. i'd rather listen to his new band than white stripes anyway. never really rated them.
