Another one bites the dust.I was never a fan of Gary but he seems to be worshipped by every musician in South Wales for some reason. Virtually every pub band around does "Walkin'" or "Still got the blues". I saw him up close once playing with Collosseum 2 in a tiny club in Swansea.That was far more listenable than his rock and blues output.

Was with some friends last night , all done 8 plus Glasto's , and were discussing the likes of

Motorhead , Lizzy etc.

My current choice of listening maybe the likes of White Lies and Two Door Cinema Club , but I do

not forget my roots !

Time for some Lizzy on my i tunes !

Made all the worse by the shock. 58?? Wasn't really a rock & roll druggy/drinker and by all accounts got his highs from music.

He was indeed great at what he did, a real loss.

Great vid of him doing some Thin Lizzy stuff here, bluesy slow at first then fast rock at the end, all good though.

Local blues festival I saw him at 10 years ago, great line-up, though as soon as Gary started his set he managed to relegate everyone else on the bill to amateur status
