Frank Turner will be topping Saturday night’s bill following a sold out appearance at Brixton Academy to some 6,000 people, and two nominations in the NME Awards, including one for Best Solo Artist. With Six Nation State headlining on Thursday night, which for the first time this year will feature entertainment, and with former Razorlight member and I Am Arrows front-man Andy Burrows also billed, it’s a line-up that this year aims to champion local talent and celebrate those acts which have conquered every corner of the British Isles and beyond, bringing them back for the ultimate homecoming performances.

Blissfields 2011 is going to be packed full of fun other than at the stages!

Angel Gardens will be running a much larger and upgraded Family Area, they are a group of, artists, workshop leaders, musicians, actors and general handy folk who come together in a little village of yurts and tipis where the young in body and heart can play!

They will also be joined by childrens writer Elissa Elwick, and Katy Ashwroth from the show I Can Cook, so make sure you join in the fun!

Manna Cafe will be providing fun for all ages, running activities including DJ classes, drumming workshops, belly dancing, Tai Chi, Judo, craft classes, and so many more ideas we have yet to discuss! Later on they will be providing a cinema running into the early hours. We will also be having on site fun from roaming magicians, hula dancers, circus workshops and much more. The stalls and food traders are looking particularly great this year and we'll be letting you know more about them in the near future.

Camel Camp This year at Blissfields we are delighted to invite back Camel Camp luxury camping, who were such a success in 2010. The Camel tent village will have it’s own associated cafe and will be sited in a premier position in the camp site.Camel Camp will also have use of our posh loos and showers included in the price! Although accessible on payment to all other campers you will have it included in the price of rental!

Why not check out the news story on the website and use the links to book from there.

Seeing as we just released a message on efestivals I thought I'd post again in case anyone wanted to ask anything.

Also it's recently been confirmed that we are Tricky's only UK Festival performance this year and our other headliner Frank Turner has just released his new album as a stream on NME.com before it's proper release next week. You can listen to it here: http://www.nme.com/news/frank-turner/56962?recache#

Have a good Bank Holiday all!

Soooo please can someone kindly persuade him er, us about this one? Have a lovely van again, so very tempted to do more than we can afford this summer. Having sort of fallen out with Glasto a few years ago, we tend to like the tiddly ones - BT, OTT, Endorse It etc - so would we like Blissfields?

Be very grateful for informed comments - it's either this as a last min addition or Tolpuddle (and that looks a bit earnest, though v worthy and all  )

Well I'll try, although being an organiser I'm not very impartial! :)

If you like them small we will be great for you, we go to BT and EiiD (EiiD for the last five years)and if you like them you like us I'm sure, a number of their organisers come to Blissfields and they have a great time! :)

Our crowd is a bit younger (and the bands as well) but we have a good number of older folk (like me!),everyone says how friendly and fun it is, and so it should be as it started pretty much as a private party in 2001.

We have a bit of a name for ourselves for spotting bands before they break :Mumford, Mystery Jets, Laura Marling...Scouting for Girls and we have some graet bands this year we think will be huge by the end of the year.

Lastly (but not least) you must love Subgiant being EiiD regulars and they are our best friends running a stunning area at Blissfields called The Hidden Hedge

not everything about us I know but I thought I'd keep it personal :)

loads more here: www.blissfields.co.uk and here Blissfields Facebook Page

hope to see you in four weeks! campervan places running low so make your mind up quick!
