I didn't say MCR because based on most peoples predictions they will headline this year. Biffy Clyro is a good point, didn't think of them. Not sure about Dizzee and Pendulum though, they are arguably 'bigger' than previously headliners but I don't think they are the right bands to headline Reading and Leeds

You think? For Pendulum the tent has been packed the last two times they have played the festival. Well I'm assuming it was last year because @ Arcade Fire there was a mass amount of space even down the front.

The last two times Dizzie has played he has had a huge crowd. It might be a bit of a gamble from the organisers but I know he would get a massive crowd judging the love for him the last two times he has played. He went down very well @ Leeds last year.

The MNE tent is a bitch to predict and there are so many factors.

Some people say that it would equate to third on the main stage, but there's no way the three in that position last year (Biffy, Weezer or Dizzy) would headline the tent. Too big.

It may equate to fourth, but I also think that style has something to do with it; Pendulum (as much as I dislike them) could come across well on the main stage and probably third but would LCD? In fact I doubt LCD would ever be put on the main stage due to how badly their style of music would come across (maybe that's harsh but they're definitely more suited to a tent). Primal Scream could easily play third on the main stage but then they also seem to be legitimate tent headliners, is that because of their style?

And then how much say do NME and Radio One have in it? Were the more dance-orientated headliners last year a deliberate ploy to either offer an alternative to the traditional festival bands on the main stage or to appeal to a younger crowd? Will that mean the same this year or will the fact that Muse, the Strokes and MCR are more likely to appeal to a younger crowd than GNR, AF and Blink mean that heavier, more traditional stuff is in the tent this year?

Crystal Castles and Pulp for the other two days, I think. Maybe Glasvegas if their album does well. Mumford and Sons would be a contender but I'd be more inclined to shove them on the mainstage at risk of losing the general "f**k me, this is intense!" atmosphere of the tent.

Sunday night in 2007 was great fun with CSS and LCD Soundsystem. The tent was rammed and bouncing. Unfortunately Klaxons came on after but that's another story. They were NME flavour of the year at the time with that awful 'nu-rave' nonsense.

I saw DJ Yoda at TITP last year and he was brilliant. Wouldn't mind seeing him again.

How about a decent hip-hop act like Jurassic 5, Wu-Tang Clan or Public Enemy (if they're still going)?
