given the size of Glasto, at night, how do you find your way back to your camper van as I'm guessing that there aint much lighting about????

All the main routes out to the campervan fields are well lit and as the vans are usually well spaced it's not as if your going to fall over them trying to find your own van like the tent campers do in their fields.

Ah there's plenty of lights and directions. Unless you're completely destroyed(VERY likely in fairness!!) you'll be grand!

Good point.

I lost one of my mates last year and he didn't return for a day. it was the wine bars fault apparently.

When you first go in by day make a mental note of key landmarks and count - third row on the right etc. You'll have got the hang of it by Sunday.

First year I went we camped in dairy fields - which were pretty empty to begin with. We pitched at 12 o clock 20 yrds from end of metal path.. how could we go wrong...

Come the evening we were deluged by new neigbours and had an assault course through the tents and ropes.. our tent well hidden

I would opt for remebering the landmarks and unusual flags around you (Not necessarily yours)

Pitching too close to the path may lead to a trodden tent and noisy night (or morning!)
