Ticket Resale. April 2011.

Hi guys.

I missed out on tickets in October and I'd like to buy 2 in the resale. I'm guessing its likely to be on the 10th or maybe the 17th of April.

Can anybody tell me, based on previous years, how many tickets go on sale in the resale and roughly how long it usually takes them to sell out?

I know I'm up against it this year with Coldplay, U2 and probably Beyonce headlining but I'd like to know what my chances are.

I got 2 in the resale last year after the initial failed attempt in Oct and got them ordered quite quickly. This surprised me as the line-up would have suggested it was going to be difficult U2, S. Wonder etc.

As for how many tix are available, I have know idea but if I were to guess I would say there might be a fair few going.

Just go for it and be prepared and look out on here at the time of sale for any useful info and even facebook could be a useful tool but be careful with personal details

Thanks for the helpful info guys.

Its my first time trying to buy glasto tickets. On the day of the resale is it a case of entering the registration numbers of the people I'm buying tickets for, hitting continue and then I'm put through to the "Queue" page?

Something like this: http://www2.seetickets.com/g2011/regform.asp?orig=uk&method=REPAY ?

(^^Well, the page you get when you hit "Click Here" for international bookers.)

I saw somewhere on another thead that 40,000 went back on sale for 2010. My girlfriend managed to get 2 after the twitter feed said they had run out.

Do you know what time they sold out that day?

I'm an International buyer by the way. From Ireland.

I think chances are good of getting a ticket.

I was with a few folk last year who got a ticket then.

Given the original tickets went on sale in Autumn and folk had to pay just £50... there will no doubt be a lot of people who will struggle to find a further £145. Of course loads of people will return tickets due to being skint, not fancying it, friends can't go, can't get time off work, got kids, want to go on Holiday etc etc.

If it was 40,000 last year, then I imagine it will be similar numbers this year.
