treacle
Hi Treacle, Just pick your area in Quiet camping carefully, if you get to far from the arena you get near staff camping and I have it on good authority that there is usually someone over there shouting to wake his crew up at around 5.40am
treacle
We camped in " quiet" area last year and its not people up and about that keeps you awake its the bass camp pumping all night !! Don`t expect an oasis of calm just a few less people partying all night . Not a complaint just an observation ! Actually started to get excited about this years now , probably after watching glastonbury and also a couple of sunny days
viking jeff
I'll bear that in mind Jeff. Mind you it was hilarious watching everyones faces after you did your "get out you beds, you lazy barstewards" at Bearded this year. Hows the knee? shezam
Hi all, more questions from me! Looks like we are heading down in a Campervan now, with 6 beds, now its going to be a tight squeeze so we were planning on taking our 3 man tent also. My friend informs me it says no tents in Campervan area, can someone tell me if i am likely to ge away with my tent? If not, would I be able to pitch in normal camping and then return to campervan daily to visit friend/shower etc? Any help is appreciated x

shezam
Thats brilliant thanks for your help. Even if they ask us to remove our tent we shall pitch in normal camping and just return daily for showers etc. I'm excited as this is my first time at Wickerman! Can you advise me what the food is like? Is it the normal horrid burger vans or is there a wider range available? x

Muddyfields
Going to be my first camping experience at a music festival. Been to T in the park many times but living local to it was able to go home each night. Always enjoyed T, but was never tempted to camp. Are the Wickerman campsites quite safe with regards to thefts etc? And is it worth using the quiet campsite for "some" sleep at night, or is the general campsite good enough? Would welcome any Wickerman camping tips!

rabid
Hi Wickerman is as likely to have tent robbers as every festie I've been to. It doesn't matter if there's 180'000 or 500 people there it's problem everywhere Sensible precautions like only taking things you dont mind loosing, keep you valuables on you at all times, NEVER leave your bag lying in your tent (not even beside your head while sleeping!!!!), don't get too wasted on the first night as this is when they are most likely to strike (when folk have the most amout of cash on them)
ski64
According to skiddle forum there are still bands to be announced this week , I'm guessing a sing along afternoon slot ? Wild stab in dark divine comedy ! Last years late band was the go team

As for camping....quiet campsite is still on the go most of the night but there are less youngsters so I think folk slightly more considerate. The drawback to that is that there will be lots of kids up mega early in the morning running around making noise!
mammamia27
hi all Can anyone tell me where/when band times are published and if a list is purchasable how much it generally is? I can't wait, sooo excited already!!! ta!
ski64
Usual laminate list for round neck at £7 ish . Think breakdown of which day bands play by end of this week but as for exact times maybe not until day before .
shezam
Woooo hoooo! this time next week i'll be wishing the day to pass quickly so I can go home and start packing! Also do the booze/food run. So excited! Very happy to be travelling in a campervan this year aswell, means I can take extra covers/food etc and not have the hassle of carrying it all! What is the capacity of Wickerman? Does anyone know?x

treacle
Meh Bombskare are good fun if you're in the vicinity of the Scooter tent folks. Line up still pretty shit but I'll be there to say goodbye to Wickerman. It's been a great festie in the past and I'm sure I'll enjoy myself to some extent. Next year It'll be Eden all the way as it has the vibe that Wickerman once had but has lost in the past few years.
