Carrying alcohol around the festival

Does anyone know if you are limited to the amount of alcohol you can take in? obviously i wont be taking copias amounts as its to much to lug around, but i was thinking about 4 boxes of wine ?

It won't be a problem. They care about glass bottles and amounts of alcohol that would imply that you can't possibly drink it all therefore you must be intending to sell it.

Just thinking I'm gonna buy a small rucksack to carry a few cans etc when away from camp (most of the time). Does anybody have any recommendations or what do you guys usually do regarding this?

Red wine or sangria in a camel back. Doesn't matter if it gets warm then. And it wont fizz up when your jumping around.

get a cooler bag or box and freeze up a load of small bottles of water and put them in them with your beer/cider. then as the bottles defrost you have nice cold water as well to try and cure the hangover.

Last year I froze some white and rose boxes of wine. Only did it overnight on the Tuesday and they were still cool on the Thursday lunchtime. Switched to red after that. I reckon if I freeze them for a few days in advance this year they'll hold out for most of the festival. I was using a very cheap cool bag but it did the trick.

I'm definately going to be in the camelback gang this year, probably have some spirits or wine in there and then just sample some brothers cider or a cold pint when i need to. When i'm in the crowd though i think the camel is perfect rather than worrying about empty cans and stuff.

Last year we all had beer tubes which you could get 6 cans in and kept them cool too. Like Titusbungle we were always being asked where we had bought them from as they were such a good idea. There is something similar to mine on Ebay at the mo for only £3.49 inc postage( I'm not the seller! )

On a different subject but slightly the same, these things are great too. Snap-on lids for your already open cans. Chilling out with a half full beer then suddenly you feel like raving in the dance tent for 5 mins? Snap on the can lid and away you go!
