Window Licker
Been a fair while since I've darkened these boards. How is everybody?! Anyway great new festival starting in Dublin this year. 2 day gig, no camping. But just check out the Sunday line-up! €90 for the full weekend, €45 for a day ticket. pothead pixie
Im just hoping that Caribou wont be clashing with Aphex, I missed Caribou at EP because I wanted to see a bit of LCD, Bloody Beetroots and Leftfield too. Would also like to see the Battles after hearing their little sound clip on the Forbidden Fruit website. Roll on, canna wait. Sadly I dont think I will do EP this year as I dont really have the funds, Ireland is great at the moment for bombarding you with bloody unseen bills, cant even save for a deposit for a flat in Galway and the prices just to get relatively high are prohibitive at the mom, especially in Sligo, seeing as the ole weed is my choice of poison. Hopefully there will be some comps for EP tickets Ill do the bloody lot of them if there is a chance.

rexclark
The Flaming Lips and Erol on the same night would be fantastic but I've got Rockness and Glasto in June so not much else can be going on.

blackg1000
Alright blackie man, how you getting on? Aye I'm f**kin delighted, get to see Aphex Twin play in my home town. €45 is a steal for the day, especially going by Dublin prices. Caribou and Solar Bears are brilliant additions aswell. If your into Boards of Canada then check out some Solar Bears on youtube, two lads from Dublin and Wicklow, their debut album is amazing. Dunno if I can make Rockness this year, serious lack of funds, snappin if I can't go mind! Line-up ain't spectacular this year though, The Chemical Brothers and DJ Shadow are the only real stand outs for me. Groove Armada and DJ Yoda aswell. Seen them all loads before thou and bar those it ain't great. Still be a savage weekend I'm sure, always is. Be a shame if I miss it. Reckon The Chems will play the Picnic thou so I'll catch the new live set down there.
Window Licker
Alright buddy, I'm doing good. How's life on the Emerald Isle? I'm looking forward to Rockness more and more each day. Shame you might not make it you've got a couple of cracking festivals lined up so far!! I'm just chuffed to bits that DJ Shadow is playing this year, feeling a bit left out from his tour completely missing out Scotland. I hope alot of people go see him because it's not often a chance like this comes around ala Aphex Twin and he can pull off an awesome show, especially with his new Shadowsphere setup. It's looking grand this year at Rockness but if you get Chems at Electric Picnic (which you no doubt will) then your sorted. Been keeping tabs on Solar Bears since you recommended them and I've got 'She was Coloured In' ordered from Amazon. Dunno how these guys passed me by, Boards of Canada are one of my favourite bands and these guys are up there already from what I've listened to so far. pothead pixie
That's just no fair. Doesn't matter, we've got Paulo Nutini. May well make a journey to EP this year if this is true.
Window Licker
Ive also noted that Pulp has not been announced for Oxegen, so there is a chance they might be playing too.
