ministe2003
Hi all, Heard on the radio the other day that there's been a dramatic rise in online ticket sale scams, for all kind of tickets from festival/gig/sporting events etc. I came across this the other week while fixing up my cousin's computer, it's called WoT (Web of Trust). It's a small addon that you install into your browser (there's versions for most browser types) and it has a massive database of ratings for hundreds of thousands of different websites. You can specify how strong you want the protection, from child filter which will actively block non-child friendly sites (including anything safe, but illegal, like pirate bay) or a lower setting where you'll get a popup when you go onto a dangerous site, which you can continue to view if you wish. I'm recommending this to everyone at the moment because it seems to work great, you can sign up for the site and add ratings to websites as you browse too if you wish. With this plugin installed there's a good chance that if you browse onto a dodgy ticket sale site without knowing it, you'll get a warning by the WoT tool not to continue and save yourself getting ripped off! You can get it here: http://www.mywot.com/ And just to put it out there, I'm in no way associated with it!

ministe2003
my cousin got stung buying V tickets last year, but as it was on a credit card she got the money back. Been all over about a dramatic rise in these cases though
