Surely they have a very very good chance of playing, they have a new album coming out which is bit more for the Reading & Leeds main fan base instead of V, not playing V festival too, so i could imagine either 4th/5th down on main or sub or 3rd of the NME stage, thoughts?

and thats coming from someone who actually quite likes them.

I'd rather see them in the tent; can imagine them subbing it if they did get booked.

The Kooks first album was decent, but are now nothing more than a pop act with guitars if you ask me.

Really hope they don't play, ultimate V festival type booking. Btw how many 14 year olds are you expecting you come to Reading if that's the Kooks niche?

I'd like to see them as I'm still a fan but I don't think they could pull of an NME headline. Seen a few live recordings over the years and they seem to be pretty hit and miss with performance but I'd still like to see them. Especially if it was sunny.

I think they have a decent chance of playing, they've been away for ages though so I have no idea where they'd play.

Maybe early main? If it's sunny I'd like that.

They could play, but I think a lot of people would see them if nothing else was on as they used to like them but rarely listen to them now. Depends what type of slot they would want, early main like Futureheads did would get them a pretty big crowd i reckon

I think they would be higher than the futureheads. While their popularity has gone down, I think people overestimate how much as a bands profile always goes down between album releases. They had a number 1 album only 3 years ago, they arent going to be as low as people think.

We can only hope they're not playing. & the reason they're playing Rock am Ring is possibly because they're popularity in mainland Europe hasn't took as big a dip as it has over here.
