The Pigeon Detectives (suggestion)

They've got a new album coming out soon. I reckon they could play 5th on main or sub the NME stage. Thoughts?

Their "secret" set a few years back was mental. Never liked them on CD but they are a good live band

Think they would be great. Got tickets to them at Leeds Met in May. One to watch on a sunny afternoon on Main stage with a pint....mmmmm

only on a really small tour at the moment. Know they're playing a pretty small venue in Portsmouth anyway. So low main, mid-high NME from where I'm stood.

Think they'll be bigger at Leeds than Reading, but I can see them about 3rd on NME maybe?

Would be good, they seem to get brought up every year. They've been away too long.

Im not sure they would play nme tent now. They probably arent "cool" enough for the magazine. Maybe early main stage is more likely.

NME have no say in who plays the stage. They just sponsor it.

Yeah, they hate pendulum (I remember then moaning about people seeing them over arcade fire) and they headlined nme last year.

Bumped into the lead singer Matt Bowman out in Leeds about a month back. Nice guy, had a conversation with him asking him what they were up to. When i asked if they would be playing Leeds Festival, he was reluctant to give an answer and then he asked if I was going, I said Yes, and he said "See you there". Make of that what you will.

i saw the P.D last night in the flesh. it was rather funny,i was wating for them to come out of the v.i.p area of the ritz.they came out so i started really shouting COME ON PIGEON DETECTIVES GO ON SON all this mumbo jumbo, none of the band new what to do... so they very quickly got there heads down and walked away, but matt was the last to come out so i gave it a bit more of the mumbo jumbo and he gave me a thumbs up lol but i was like a 1 man crowed there all by my self

I've seen Piegons three times, once headline show, another support and a festival, and they have put on a hell of a show and they're damn good at getting the crowd going too.

I am so excited to see them at Reading. Then jam to a bit of Madness later on in the day

Saw them ages ago with the Kaisers, toyed with going to the Manchester gig but didn't, good to see they're still producing the same quality stuff.

First album was great, didn't like the second too much but I'll be there. The Joy Formidable into The Pigeon Detectives is as good enough reason to leave the pub early and get to the site for the kick off as I've ever seen.
