ANYWAY enter shikari could play on either NME stage or main? they always put on a sick performance

I also heard they were taking a year off. Would love to see them back there. Think they deserve to be on main but put them in a tent and the atmosphere is x10 better.

I've never seen a main stage crowd go as nuts as it did for Shakari last time they played Main.

I doubt they will be playing, they mentioned that they were taking a break at Brighton Centre + they've played the last 2 R+L.

i bet they'd be f**ked if they did anything else this summer, seeing as they're playing the whole 2 months of Warped Tour this year

i would so love to see them at reading but i doubt it due to warped tour! i jsut hope they make an exception due to last years reactions!

They're on warped tour for most of the summer, so miss out Download, Soni and Glasto, but they are back in time for Reading. And although their facebook/management etc keep saying they're not playing and Euro festivals or any UK shows til next year, on their ustream live thing they said, in reference to Reading, something along the lines of "yeah hopefully" and they keep sort of hinting towards it. If they're going to play any UK show this year, it'd be Reading. I'd say there's definately a chance of them playing, could see them doing a secret slot or something

It's nailed on in my opinion, i'm not in the know, but i do know that they are planning touring this Autumn, culminating in anothing Christmas show in Herts (Supposedly). I'd say they have a very good chance of playing the Tent, as a headliner this time out though.

I dont see why they would move up the bill. Its not like they are have got any more popular. They havent had a big single or album in the last year.

I think their position last year was spot on & complemented Pendulum very well. However after "that" performance they can only go higher up or IMO transition to the main stage at a slot when it's starting to get dark (which means subbing I guess which I can't see for a while yet).

EDIT- A very possible contender for NME headliners in 2012, after new material, up against a legend slot on main stage. Hadouken! would be good support but not big enough.

I dont think individual perfomances really matter. RHCP and incubus have both put in some dreadful performances but arent going to be relegated down the bill. At the same time many bands put in amazing performances at the bottom of the bill and never move up. If a bands going to move up, they probably need more commerical success.
