Thats the slot of serj tankian, delphic and band of horses, I just cant see them getitng a slot that high. I cant see the like of radio 1 and nme giving them the coverage needed to significantly climb the line up, which will limit the amount of people who will discover their music. I agree they are a great band live but there are many great live bands who struggle to get great slots at the festival. Unfortunately in music image is more important than talent and I dont think they have the image that a record company will massively push.

The Vaccine will never headline. The fact that the NME are falling over themselves to give them praise means nothing, they'll probably abandon them faster than they abandoned The Drums last year. (thank god, I was sick of hearing so many good things about such a pile of w*nk)

Lostprophets are also an absolute no, as I've mentioned before, and I'd say Paramore are in a tricky spot now as well. I can see their career slowly fading away except for the die hard fans now that they are essentially a Hayley Williams solo project.

I also doubt Prodigy will headline. They seem to be stuck in a position of perpetual subbing for the rest of their career.

I would suggest Justice, but sadly, and bizarrely, I'd say that the days of great dance acts headlining is over. When was the last time an act like The Chemical Brothers or Daft Punk headlined or even subbed? Unfortunately I'd say the only exception to this may be Pendulum, but I hate them, so I'll be ignoring them for convenience sake.

Florence and the Machine, Vampire Weekend, Dizzee Rascal, Elbow, Biffy Clyro and Mumford and Sons all withing 3 years.

White Lies and The Glaslight Anthem within 5 years I think, assuming their management get it right. Same with Yeah Yeah Yeahs. The National also an outside possibility. Editors as well as somebody mentioned.

Would be interesting if the organisers threw a total spanner in the works and got somebody like P!nk to headline one year. Along with a couple of heavier/more typical acts. M.I.A's last album went a bit wrong but one or two massive albums she's a very outside chance.
