Traffic on Monday

I (and 2 more friends) need to get to Bristol Airport quite early (aprox.9.oo, flight at 10.45). Bought National Express Bus tickets at 7.oo (earliest I could find). According to timetable bus will be at Bristol Bus Station at 8.15, which is OK for me.

So:

- Do buses leave Glasto on Monday as scheduled or is there a live queue?

- What are the odds that bus will be in Bristol on time and won't get in traffic jam?

- Couldn't find but maybe there is a direct bus to Airport?

Bloody hell you do like to gamble .

Some factors you have to take into consideration.

Getting on a festival coach is not like getting on a coach on a day trip as people have all their gear with them so it takes longer to load.

the Coach park is very busy so there is people walking all over the shop trying to find the right coach so you cant expect any public coach leaving on time.

Normally once loaded they can get out on the road but there will be other coaches all departing at the same time so there will be a delay.

I work at Glastonbury so I leave by a Private Coach and even that one can depart 30 to 60 minutes after the time its supposed to leave at ' on a good day ' and there has been times that the coach showed up two hours late { as the driver could not get though the traffic } so it departed three hours later than it should .

If I was you I would change to a later flight as its really taking too much of a gamble.

i know i know its quite a gamble.. but have no other choice. This is the only plane I can get - next one is Friday.

Would be glad to leave on Sunday. But still hope there will be Libertines on Sunday on OtherStage or some other alternative to that B-girl. So no early leaving. Couldnt find bus offers after last gig, so took first in morning. Im ready not to sleep all night just to get on that first bus at 7am. But Im worried that it could also get in traffic jam and still will be late.

Thanks!!!

So next questions :)

As I'm not from UK is it hard to book a cab on Sunday night?

Should I book cab form Briston or Shepton Mallet?

How can I book - calling on Sunday, calling a week in advance or maybe booking one right now (is it even possible) to be sure?

Once again - Thank You very much! :)

Reading all this has made me think that I might just be better off partying as hard as any other night on the Sunday, sleeping all day Monday and hopefully be in a state to drive home once the majority of the traffic has dispersed...do you get rushed offsite?

Are there any shutlle buses running sunday night after headliners or really early Monday to say Shepton or Glastonbury or such like then get a taxi from there to the airport as maybe less chaotic than at the pick up point and you could get a company more willing to pick up the fare?
