worm
Metallica come across as greedy at the best of times but something is always better than nothing. I don't see why you have to see it in such a negative light.

Greeny_Musicchild
If the money was coming out of the artists, promotors, managers and executives pockets i wold get your point. Charging more for a show just charges the fan more money. if you feel you have an extra £45 in a situation like this in the future feel free to donate. Greeny_Musicchild
No, im not defending high prices. I'm saying that in the instance of a charity gig such as Metallicas a higher ticket price would mean more for charity, but that money doesn't come from the big corporate machine that profits off all the other gigs, but from the fans. We pay enough already. I'm all for cheaper tickets, and beyond that redistribution of wealth but that's not in question. I'm not defending the industry or Metallica, they didn't make any money but they have plenty, but at a show for the fans tickets being cheap benefits the gig-goer, the gig also benfited charity. On a much wider scale more money could be given to charity by all these f**ks all the time. If someone decides to give at least something to charity then why and pick on it like it's a bad thing? Greeny_Musicchild
You'll pay £50 to see a band but not to see a band and give to charity? I'm really struggling to follow your logic here. Edited March 14, 2011 by Greeny_Musicchild
