Very Quiet on Efestivals For Reading & Leeds 2011

I know its incredibly unlikely, but you never know FR might have even booked The Strokes and MCR to sub two other headliners. I know its not going to happen, but you never know. I'm still holding out for REM, with Bright Eyes, Interpol, The National, Fleet Foxes, Belle and Sebastian and Pulp somewhere.

Well isnt that what people do on here anyway? I just never know who to belive, id love to know where people get the details from. Are the festival acts suposed to be top secret? or can they tell people?

Thats cool, i just wonder somtimes how info is leaked? People say they might get people into trouble have you just have, so always makes me wonder why people are posting it all over forums? Id love to know summat that others didnt but i have not got a clue apart from what i read, and half of that i dont belive.

Very very little of what you read here is genuine information. We all trust Neil and keese with their info but unless people are passing on what they've said it's just speculation and conjecture.

For the most part, over the course of the last year, when people have said something very similar to that I tend to immediately dismiss whatever they say and place them firmly into the 'OKB Drawer of Irrelevant Attention Seekers'. Those sort of threads have caused more than their fair share of arguments on these boards and they have proven to be incredibly dangerous - and give or take 5 or 6 pages later, you end up with the same users (ie. me) trying to find the flaws in what the OP is saying only for the OP to reveal on page 10 that he was just bullshitting after all.

Me & my friends will be going no matter who the headliners are... we couldn't give a f**k because we know that if we decide to not go & see them, we will be having fun elsewhere, whether it be getting smashed back at camp, going for a wander around the campsite & meeting up with other mates/new people, rolling around in the silent disco or getting destroyed watching another band in NME or maybe FR.

I reckon MCR will turn up with some stage props & put on an energetic show. If they do headline I would like them to turn up on the Friday to get them out of the way & to finish the first music night off with a bit of energy.

It's got to the point where the line up really takes 2nd place to having some fun with my friends. & yes, you can say why don't I just go camping, but you just don't get the atmosphere like you do at Reading.

I think the only people that should be moaning about the headliners should perhaps be the people getting day tickets, but at the end of the day if you don't like that days acts, go another day that you do.

I just wish they had some decent DJ's playing after hours. One night DnB/dubstep, one night electro/house & another night perhaps something more niche. & I think it should only be open for campers too to stop loads of chav turning up. IMO.

Until some news is broadcast down the side there (------------>), most have nothing to go by and it is nothing more than speculation, so treat it as that rather than fact. The internet isn't full of oracles, and I doubt you'd find any here.

It's all subjective and as other posters have said the crack is the thing. Personally the headliners last year did'nt float my boat, but it was still a cracking fest. Some leftfield acts came out and did the business...Weezer were excellent, as were LCD Soundsystem, Holy f**k, & Limp Bizcit.......also QOTSA f**ked over GnR
