Early bird just means they let you into the camp site a day early, you don't get assigned a camp area you just turn up and find a space.

Different vendors call them different things, the ticket that lets you camp a day early has been called an early bird ticket by some and an early entry ticket by others this year.

An early bird ticket technically is the ticket bought the year before at that year's prices, FR refer to these tickets by that name, although due to the confusion around the word 'early' most people just call them presale tickets and use anything with the word early to mean the ticket that lets you camp on the Wednesday.
