Just to change the subject, i've been getting slated on other forums because i've said MCR can headline because they are subbing other festivals not headlining. Now I know this has been covered but just want to confirm as these people have been saying along with rude names that Melvin said the headliners are exclusive and won't be playing anywhere else which is why MCR cannot play as they are at another UK fesitval. However I said it is the fact they won't be headlining anywhere else (in the UK) which makes them the "exclusive headliners". Right?

I'm not familiar with dance music, so I went back through past line-ups and picked a former dance stage headliner to play again because I didn't know who else to put. I had Chase & Status in that slot before (don't listen to them but I at least know who they are), but I think they were ruled out by V or something. So yeah, random guess really.

I think what he said is that the headliners are exclusive, which some people have interpreted to mean that they aren't playing anywhere else while some (mostly those here due to Neil's information that they are headlining) have taken to mean that they just aren't headlining anywhere else.

So basically I agree with you, your best bet is to sat "we'll see" and then pay them a visit on Monday night.

Also the term exclusive has just got ridiculous, Ive seen "south west exclusive" "london exclusive" and "dance festival exclusive" this year to name a few, its just a buzz term to make the headliners more important.

Plus people are getting too caught up on the meaning of exclusive, R&L have never had 3 UK exclusive headliners that I can think of, one of them always end up being a "English exclusive" or something along those lines and are actually billed as that.year to name a few, its just a buzz term to make the headliners more important.

Weren't Guns and Roses, Arcade Fire and Blink 182 UK exclusive's? Don't think they played any other festivals in the UK last year.
