Nine Inch Nails technically never split (even though really are one guy). They still make music, just don't tour. But yes I too would love to see them back again. Incredible at the MEN in 2009.

Well normally when a band says Hiatus, they're taking a break for a few years to concentrate on a something else, be that family or side projects.

If a band has an indefinite hiatus that band does not know weather they will get back together or not (SOAD, Blink 182)
