Ticket Resale

Hi

As someone who hasn't been to glasto for nearly 10 years I was just wondering how exactly will the resale work, in particular do folk who haven't registered, but were to register sometime this week have a chance of getting a ticket? Me and the girlfriend were thinking of registering on www.glastonburyregistration.com and chancing our arms on a ballot if one exists, but we're not really sure about the process.

I've had a wee look through the forum and seen a bit of chat about a "re-sale" for tickets that don't have the balance paid on them. I'm just not sure if its possible for folk who haven't already registered to actually strike lucky and get these though.

absolutely. register now, and you've just as much chance as somebody who registered 2 years ago!

The balances of the tickets need to be paid in the first week of April, and then dependant on how many returns or failed payments there are - they'll have an idea of how many tix will be in the resale.

My missus registered after Tic Day had gone by and was successful in the resale a couple of years ago. Just thought I'd add a second confirmation for you.

PS Personally I think you'll have a good chance in the resale this year. Due to the deposit scheme this time round I think the tic day in Oct 2010 was battered by people who thought they'd secure a ticket without definitely wanting to go.

Yeah, I agree with this. The deposit and auto refund system (less a tenner) opened the sale to a load of people who hadn't really made up their mind. I reckon you'll be OK.

Another thread around here said 40,000 alleged resales last year. I think we're collectively financially worse off this time around, and having only a week to pay things off will get a few people too.

So I do think there'll be a good number of resale tickets. Just not sure how many more people will want them.

And you have to pay the full ticket at the time of booking or a deposit like oct?

it will be interesting to see if they extend the payment date if sales dont go as well as anticipated ,i know its not likely but stranger things have happened.

Resale is Sunday 17th April .. and I know that you have to be lucky to get through to get just one ticket .. But I noticed that the maximum that you can buy now is FOUR (and not eight as with original sale).

Bummer .. Because we were hoping for six .. That now leaves another dilemma of .. ''If we get through and can get four tickets .. Who do you NOT book for ????

Also .. Will there be any campervan tickets left?

Not only is it now four tickets , but I guess that the order more / back button will be disabled as well

get tickets for yourself , the driver/owner of the campervan and draw lots for the other 2

In the October sale I had three browsers in one window and all three got the order page up at the same time. As did two of my friends.
