sweet and tender hooligan
Subbing The Strokes on Saturday. Dissapointing as I presume this means they're not doing Glastonbury?
mr flow
Not sure why this would rule them out of Glasto as they aren't headlining Reading/Leeds so should be able to play. Elbow are playing both for example
CaledonianGonzo
Lordy - they're (practically) playing every festival but Glastonbury..
Guest blackcockerel
Mr Flow is right, I'd be more alarmed if they were headlining, that'd definitely rule them out. Worry not!

LondonTom
They seem to be just doing a tour of festivals now I am positive we will have them! (Though the strokes/pulp day is mighty tempting ) Edited March 21, 2011 by LondonTom
Guest blackcockerel
Looks like the only major festivals they won't be doing are Bestival and V, and who can blame them for not doing V?
ramragon
im suprised a firm announcement hasnt come out about them playing by now, hopefully it'll be just round the corner
ollyh
Fantastic to see the National so high on just before Pulp, people still may have not heard of them but at least they're where they deserve to be Edited March 21, 2011 by ollyh

Mardy
Looks like they're hoping to make enough this summer not to ever have to do it again. A short term thing. Wireless are going to really struggle to sell tickets, i think.
Guest blackcockerel
Didnt they play the first ever V . Edited March 21, 2011 by blackcockerel
Guest blackcockerel
The one thing Wireless has going for it over the other Uk festivals for us Pulp fans is hopefully they'll have a longer set due to them headlining, but yeah when they're playing so many other places it's looking very unlikely that Wireless will sell out, it rarely does anyway from what I've heard

Guest blackcockerel
I'm hoping to get some press passes and sell ours on, though looking on eBay they're not going for face value

ParanoidAndroid86
Most importantly, it looks like National aren't exclusive to Latitude. So they could still turn up at Glasto right?

sonicpurveyor
just saw the line up myself and whilst most of the bands playing are allright, none of them really grab me by the balls, plus i think for what they offer compared to greatest festival of all £192.50 for a weekend ticket is a bit steep, plus £15 for early entry basically means it costs more to go to reading/leeds for the wed - mon. For the 4th or 5th year running i'll be giving it a miss

Guest blackcockerel
Okay, will find out about press passes in May, though I'm sure by then we'll know they're at Glasto
