micawber
It's a cracking line up and still have the Lock Up and FR to come. I'm pretty glad that there will be fewer grumpy old gits there this year. Er, I'm an old git - but not grumpy!
fat_man_joe
I'm happy as you like but I would have gone to see Pulp, The Strokes and Muse anyway The kills, Cage the elephant, white lies, joy formidable, madness (can believe they are playing Leeds pulled huge crowd at V last year), interpol, metronomy, vaccines, chapel club, noah and the whale, offspring, warpaint, bombay bicycle club and the horrors..... plus we still have the FR stage which always brings a few delights yeahhhhh
j-j-j-j-joe!
Madness. That is all. One of the most talented, diverse and consistent bands this country has ever produced.
Cieran
This is a great line up I love a lot of the bands and artists on there tbh. Not happy about not seeing Mumford & Sons on there, but hey! Enter Shikari 3 years in a row, that'll be good! I really wanted to see them go but never thought they would Defiantly the band I want to see the most (:
allan14
i really like the line up! i mean any line up with rise against and madness on has to be good!! also i want to see like 4/5 off the main stage and no doubt il like most of the lock u-p when it comes out... looks like theres going to be some clashes for me

Doherty vs. Muse is gonna be a toughy for me.
wheres the mudfight
7/10? pretty good, plenty on all days and varied. really looking forward to saturday. I'd give it 8/10 but Elbow and The Horrors are probably my 2 least favourite bands of all time
Mega Ross
This is probably the worst lineup I've seen so far. But there are a fair few bands which aren't shit who I'll be seeing. Looking forward to seeing offspring again, and madness. Both are up there with top Muse could be quite a good shout as well, I was heavily into them about 4 years ago. I'm not hugely into pulp but I listened to their live glasto stuff and they seem to have a good sense of "good shit to say between songs to make your crowd happy". And theres a fair few others, the streets I do like the idea of.

JWC126
It depends really. i think last year Marina and Guns both headlined their stages, but Marina was supposed to start a lot later on, so it could be that you can catch all of Muse and the end of Doherty, but you wouldn't be able to catch both full sets =/
JoeBLufcMUSIC
Love the line up, especially the My Chemical Romance day, not a huge fan of them, although it could be a good performance, but all the bands under on the main stage are epic, and yes i like BMTH, however i have a feeling they'll get bottled, they have a shit load of haters, I don't know why, their new albums pretty awesome, hope they don't get bottled cause I reckon they'll put on a good lively show. But seriously, these are the bands I would be interested in seeing; MCR, Muse, 30STM, The Offspring, Deftones, Rise Against, New Found Glory, BMTH, The Blackout, Architects, The Strokes, Pulp, Jimmy Eat World, Madness, Two Door Cinema Club, Pigeon Detectives, Enter Shikari, We Are The Ocean, Frank Turner, Taking Back Sunday, Beady Eye, White Lies, Noah & The Whale, The Vaccines, Crystal Castles, Bombay Bicycle Club, 2manydjs, The Streets, Panic! At The Disco, Cage The Elephant and Pete Doherty. 31 acts I want to see, obviously I wont see them all, but this will be an awesome festival for me. Benj
The general consensus is that the line up is the worst in years. Whichever forum you go on. Just sayin.
JoeBLufcMUSIC
Its true though, every year you get people bitching on here, but when you get to the festival its awesome and everyone has a good time.
farmer_andy
Haha yeah definitely remember similar comments this time last year and most others for that matter! Always a great weekend, would be amazed if by the time all the bands are out there wasn't something for everyone. Obviously if you need a strong initial lineup announcement and a wealth of bands to see over the weekend, fair enough. However I and many people I know enjoy themselves due to the general festival experience backed up by a few favourite bands and seeing some new ones by chance/exploration. kirstykustard
so far i'm looking forward to the naked & famous, the vaccines, white lies, the offspring, two door cinema club, madness, jimmy eat world, pulp, the streets, 2manydj's, frank turner and enter shikari and there is a few more acts that i wouldn't mind sitting down with a beer and listening to pretty sure there will be quite a few more to add to that list once the lock up/ dance tent and the smaller stages are announced
The Mean Bean
Nobody who is having a moan isn't going to have an awesome time at the festival, and they will enjoy the bands. There's some brilliant stuff in there, I might be in the minority but I'm chuffed to bits with Beady Eye, maybe they don't deserve a headliner slot but hey, at least they aren't MCR. Very pleased that we've got both Pulp AND The Strokes, couldn't have asked for a better pair to be honest. Madness, followed by Jimmy Eat World, followed by the National, followed by The Strokes, followed by Pulp will do me fine. That's a whole bunch of brilliant bands in quick succession, I'd rather not see Two Door Cinema Club but I do love Seasick Steve. Everything Everything and Bombay Bicycle Club are both great, Crystal Castles were terrible last year but their first album is one of my favorites of the last 10 years so they'll get another chance. OFWGKTA look interesting, could be on to a winner. Origin Of Symmetry is a brilliant album and I'm very pleased to be seeing it live, Elbow could be alright but I think I might go for the Streets instead. Friendly Fires do an excellent live show and I'm very pleased they've been given a main stage slot. Panic! At The Disco could be cool and Cage the Elephant are excellent live. Pete Dogherty will be awesome if I get to see him. I'm a very big fan of The Offspring and I'm sure some more great band will be revealed, bring on the LEEDS! Bisque
I don't mind that there's not as many bands to see as it just means I will be socialising more, which is why I primarily go to Reading. Just a shame for me that there is no outstanding band I want to see/brag about. Just Enter Shikari & Friendly Fires on Sunday.
JAnderson
Naked & Famous The Vaccines Noah & The Whale White Lies Beady Eye Everything Everything Bombay Bicycle Club Crystal Castles Seasick Steve Madness Jimmy Eat World The National Pulp The Strokes Cage The Elephant Chapel Club Frank Turner Friendly Fires Interpol The Streets 2manydjs Elbow Muse All the above are bands I want to see, won't get to see them all due to some nasty clashes. That's great considering I only went to see 6 bands last year, although admittedly I did miss few I planned to see. Randomly
i love the lineup im just a little worried about clashes on the sunday(reading)-i want to see most of the main stage but i also want to see a few of the NME stage(mostly cage the elephant,if i see them and all the main stage ones i like i'll be happy)...who will be playing during cage the elephant on main? i think so far theres 20 bands i want to see for sure and a few more im not too bothered about but wouldnt mind
sjp_121
I love the line up!! Better than I expected tbh... MCR were the anthem of my youth, and its great to get to see them in my opinion. 30STM aren't the greatest band in the world, but they deserve a shot I think. OFFSPRING!!!!!! Deftones Rise Against And well Noah and the Whale are the perfect summery band, so that will be great PULP AND THE STROKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best thing I coulda imagined. Jimmy Eat World... 2nd time in a year, so should be great MADNESS!!!!!!!!!!!! HOW CAN ANYONE HATE MADNESS?!!?!?!??!?!?!!?!?!? Two Door Cinema Club should be good early evening/late afternoon. Im annoyed I miss Janes Addiction But still its a great day I have yet to see Muse, so Im quite excited for that... INTERPOL! band I've recently really gotten into. And Frank Turner. My favorite solo artist by so far. I am so fricken excited for him. BRING ON LEEDS!
timonweels
i'm split. Some bands i'd really like to see, balanced with many more i'm not interested in. The nme doesn't do anything for me. Friday- Deftones, Offspring and MCR, i'm curious to see if they'll pull it out the bag. Saturday- Odd future, seasick steve, madness, Pulp and the strokes Sunday- Muse, elbow, interpol There's going to be alot of vacant floating between stages during the afternoons. There's alot there i'm neutral towards, i was expecting more, but i had a great time last year and i wouldn't have bought a ticket were it not for Arcade Fire. I'm more concerned that the atmosphere should remain really.
sftiz
I like a lot of the bands playing but even if there isn’t anything on at a particular time that you want to go and see, you can drift between stages discovering new bands. For me, it’s one of the best things about the festival.
Buko
Great first announcement, first time since I started going were I want to see all 3 headliners MCR, Muse, The Strokes, Pulp, The Offspring, 30STM, JEW, Rise Against, NFG, The Pidgeon Detectives, Two Door Cinema, Madness, The View, Shikari, Interpol, Panic, Bombay bicycle, The Joy Formidable, The Blackout, taking back Sunday, the streets. So yeah pretty impressed I hope theres a strong alternative to MCR & 30STM so they don't have to play "Dodge the bottle" because people would rather spend their time ruining everyone else's. Andrinald
First time I have wanted to watch all 3 Main Stage Headliners as well (well actually, I'm going to Leeds and not too bothered about Pulp, but will watch if the lock up headliner isn't decent). Some awesome, inspired bookings though - OFWGKTA, Madness, DFA1979. Pretty much got the two bands I want to see most in the world (Odd Future and The National), now if they can pull Every Time I Die to the Lock Up then it may be the best Leeds yet. Would watch every main stage band and Noah And The Whale on Friday The Strokes, The National, Jimmy Eat World, Madness, Two Door Cinema Club, The Joy Formidable, Crystal Castles, Bombay Bicycle Club and OFWGKTA on Saturday Muse, Elbow, Interpol, Enter Shikari, Frank Turner, Taking Back Sunday, 2ManyDJs, The Streets, DFA1979 and Panic! on Sunday. I think it's a great line up and if anything, there's too many bands I want to see.
