I think a lot of people will be disappointed that their tickets wont sell. I dont see seetickets selling out really quick.

I had to sell a ticket once and the fees made it not worth it. My friend bought a reading ticket instead of leeds and i think the fees on £210 was about £25

They have been pretty weak on ebay the last two years, certainly not the demand there use to be for them. I have gone for less than face the last two years.

Increased capacity + increased prices make it difficult for people to re-sell them. They are still pushing for an increased license again this year for at least Reading too.

Apart from Reading Early Entry I can't see anything else that is sold out and you can get straight through to buy!

People voting with their feet over the prices & the lineup rather than the economic climate which will no doubt be the excuse.

T, IOW, V and Glasto all managed to sell out in no time, but then again they haven't booked a band who were playing half full venues just a full weeks ago and another band who never played arena's, even at their peak to headline

Don't buy off Ebay now, by the time the fest comes around and if you haven't got tixs you'll have no protection from fraud from Ebay, Paypal or your credit card company.

Bit over priced aha, be worth getting a full weekend for that price.. also in the description I like how it says 1x Sunday Reading Festival 2011 Ticket then under it says Saturday 28th August.

I saw a pair of weekend Leeds tickets going for £600 + £5 p&p

It's nice to see touts getting their fingers burnt! I bought my first Reading ticket on ebay and was crapping my pants over the thought of it never arriving. It'd be nice if people didn't have to go through that sort of shit, but it's also pretty good that people are potentially able to get a ticket at lower than face value and turn the tables on the scrotey touts.

In 2008, they were going for £400+ (when face value was £155). A tout we spoke to in the queue for Leeds said he'd seen one go for a grand.

The rise in ticket prices is the reason tickets don't sell well on ebay now.

I remember for one of the first leeds festies i went to (either 05 or 06) a lad from college bought one straight after they sold out since he always went and wasn't missing out, £180 buy it now. Now tickets cost more than that, it makes sense that punters will eventually vote with their feet.
