Top lineup but Chase And Status would have to go on main stage surely. NME tent is too small, Blur headlining or not, which is probs not. I'd say you need to find space in there for Bloc Party, Vampire Weekend, The Raconteurs and probably Noel Gallagher. But thats my ticket right there

Bands that don't fit their positions in terms of genre; The XX, Magnetic Man, You Me At Six, Vampire Weekend, Editors and Bon Iver (Bon Iver could sub before Mumford).

You seem to have gone through the 2009 and 2010 line ups and picked almost all the bands from there.

I've listed all repeats from 09, 10 and 11.

I counted 23 bands playing the top two stages this year that have also played in the last three years, but I didn't include all of the stages in previous years. Of those, 6 have played more than once in the last three years, so while most of them are bands moving up stages (the only bands to play the main stage twice in the last four years are Deftones and The View) there are definitely a lot of repeats.

You're forgetting Bring Me The Horizon who played Main at just Reading in 08 & Taking Back Sunday.

I did all stages in previous years but Main & NME this year since ellibob counted bands like Chase & Status & Foster The People who played Dance & FR so I included bands like F**ked Up, Yuck! & Rise Against etc who have played Lock Up & FR etc before.

*edit* here's the full list....

Deftones

Rise Aginst

Bring Me The Horizon

Blackout

White Lies

Noah and the Whale

Metronony

Patrick Wolf

Frankie & The Heart Strings

Pulled Apart By Horses

Frank Turner

Enter Shiraki

Friendly Fires

Taking Back Sunday

View

Warpaint

Cage The Elephant

F**ked up

Dananananaykroyd

Seasick Steve

Joy Formidable

Bombay Bicycle Club

Crystal Castles

Everything Everything

Kills

Yuck!

Funeral Party

Pigeon Detectives (not included in the total as they weren't announced)

Some bands like Foster The People & Chase & Status are completely different in terms of size when they last played and just gone through the bands playing 2011 on main & NME that has also played in 10,09,08 and it's 27.

I can't see Rammstein playing, Sonisphere or Download will nab them up especially if their almost sold out O2 date goes well (which it will). Just can't see bands like them, SOAD & LP playing again as they would command headline slots & it's just not R+L's scene anymore.

Thinking about it, I would personally like Dizzee Rascal if he's got a new album out & the other headliners are bigger. He's got enough material for that slot anyway & always goes down well. Not sure what he's got in the pipeline at the moment.

Probably already been said, but since it's 10 years since 'Songs for the Deaf' was released, I could see Queens of the Stone Age headlining and playing the majority of the album, a bit like Muse this year and Primal Scream whoring the festivals with 'Screamadelica'

I know the only played 2 years ago, but would be a bit special
