Actually come to think of it I could see Biffy headlining being a realistic bet. If Arcade Fire and MCR can pull it off after so many doubters, I reckon a hugely acclaimed British act who are always popular with the R/L crowd like Biffy can.

As for Kasabian - one of the best Britih live acts going and a perfect festival band. They may attract a few pissed up meatheads but surely it won't be worse than the year Arctic Monkeys, KOL, Kaisers and The Prodigy played? They'll put on one of the performances of the weekend if they're booked for next year.

pretty sure if the libertines do return they headline. a reported 1.5 mil they got paid to 2nd headline, arcade fire wouldn't have got that i doubt.

Supposedly Arcade Fire got paid the most out of the headliners that year, as they donate a parentage of their fee to charity for all their shows so FR gave them more to bump it up.

I'd be surprised if that was true. Win Butler said from the stage that FR have donated £20k towards a Haitian charity, I'd be amazed they put any more into it to take Arcade Fire past GNR as I'd imagine the difference in pay was pretty big (certainly more than £20k).

I'd have thought that they'd have had to put some serious wedge in to make up the difference between GNR and AF, although maybe the difference wasn't that big to begin with.

I was thinking about this weekend. Foo Fighters and Kasabian will certainly be two of the three headliners. The other one is harder to predict, but I think it could well be Biffy Clyro. If not them then Paramore.

They've already had their big reunion and only subbed. Admittedly they probably couldve headlined that year but now they've played that slot they'd have to release a new and successful album to headline
